Polyplastics Unveils Eco-Friendly Composite Material with Improved Performance for Industrial and Audio Applications

Polyplastics Co., Ltd., a leading global supplier of engineering plastics, today announced the launch of a new eco-friendly long fiber-reinforced thermoplastic (LFT) material designed to reduce environmental impact while delivering enhanced mechanical performance.

The newly developed PLASTRON® LFT RA627P combines polypropylene (PP) resin with long cellulose fibers to achieve a lightweight structure with high rigidity, strong impact resistance and excellent vibration damping. These properties make the material suitable for a variety of uses, including speaker diaphragms and housings for industrial equipment.

According to Polyplastics, the use of regenerated cellulose fiber in the composite significantly lowers its carbon footprint , approximately 30% less than traditional glass fiber-reinforced PP resins while maintaining similar stiffness and strength characteristics.

The company also indicated it is expanding research into grades made from recycled PP resin to further enhance sustainability and meet increasing market demand for environmentally responsible engineering plastics.

Polyplastics continues to innovate in sustainable materials development as part of its broader commitment to reducing environmental impact and supporting a circular plastics economy.
